PRC Nursing Licensure Exam (June 2009)

The Philippine Nurse Board Licensure Exam was held last June 6 and 7, 2009 in Manila and all regional offices nationwide. The exam was given by the Professional Regulatory Board of nursing, under the administrative control and supervision of Philippine Professional Regulation Commission (PRC). It was reported that 78,574 nursing graduates was scheduled to had taken the nursing licensure exam last June 6 and 7, 2009. The Board of Nursing said that in Manila alone it had 42,338 registered nursing examinees, while in Baguio had 11,336 examinees, Cebu with 6,948, Davao with 4,069, Legaspi with 2,978, Lucena with 2,517, Cagayan De Oro with 2,313, Iloilo with 2,158, Tuguegarao with 1,314, Zamboanga with 1,375, Pagadian with 635, Tacloban with 458, and Jolo with 134 examinees. The composition of the Philippine Board of Nursing are Chairperson: Carmencita M. Abaquin; Members: Leonila A. Faire, Betty F. Merritt, Perla G. Po, Marco Antonio C. Sto. Tomas, Amelia B. Rosales, and Yolanda C. Arugay. The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has released the Nursing board exam results as it announced that 32,617 out of 77,901 examinees passed the June 6 and 7, 2009 nursing licensure exams given by the Board for Nursing in Manila and all regional offices. The National Passing Percentage of Board Examinees for this examination was 41.87%.
